Thanks to all H.I.S. fan who participated our public opinion poll event, a new ranking of Yukimi Onsen(Snow view hotspring) is here! This time not only famous places in Hokkaido and Tohoku are on the list, we also recieved recommendations for less well-known snow resorts in Okayama and other prefectures.

Okuhida

[Gifu] Okuhida Hot Springs Village

Fascinated by the dynamic mountain landscape

Hidden among the North Japan Alps and surrounded by mountains over 3000m, there is the Okuhida Hot Springs Village. It is the collective name for 5 hot springs, Hirayu Hot Spring, Fukuchi Hot Spring, Shin-Hirayu Hot Spring, Tochio Hot Spring, and Shin-Hotaka Hot Spring.
The village is one of the largest Hot Spring resorts in Japan, and each hot spring offers its uniqueness. Many inns there offer outdoor hot springs so that the visitors can enjoy the sensations of nature while bathing. It also has easy access to famous scenic spots such as the Kamikochi, Norikura and the famous world heritage
Shirakawa-go. Other than the amazing hot springs, visitors can also enjoy delicious local cuisines such as the famous Hida Beef. Okuhida Hot Springs Village truly deserves its NO.1 spot.

Very high quality hot springs with soft and healing water. Hida beef and other local food were very delicious. It was a very special experience and I felt healed physically and spiritually.

This is the best hot springs village! I love the fresh air, magnificent snow moutains, and hot springs there. The view is different and beautiful in every season.

 
 

Nyuto

The visitors can enjoy a wide variety of hot springs, and paradisiac nature; purchase a stamp book and collect exclusive memorial stamps from each inn. With its interesting concept and exotic snow view, Nyuto Hot Springs Village takes the NO.2 spot.

I have been there in both summer and winter. Summer was good, but I love the winter there! Enjoying the hot spring while looking at the falling snow was the best thing ever. I especially enjoyed the milk-like water, and I could feel my skin become smooth and soft after.

Kusatsu

[Gunma] Kusatsu Hot Spring Resort

An illiminated fantasy

Kusatsu Hot spring has always been considered as top3 among Japanese people. For every minute, it spirngs more than 32,300 liters of water. It has a hot water field at the center and well known as a hot spring resort for many centries. The visitors can try free foot bath and hand bath, 3 mixed-gender bath, or just enjoy different types of water there. It is famous for its dreamy light up night view, which has a total different atmosphere from day time. The unbeatable night view gets it a NO.3 spot on this list.

1.JR Naganoharakusatsuguchi St., then take a bus for 25 mins,
2. Kan-etsu Expressway, Shibukawaikaho IC, by car about 1 hour
